Sean started in the furniture business soon after leaving school.
Following a couple of years working for the local antique auction rooms in his home town of Winchester, he moved to London & for almost a decade worked for one of the leading Pimlico Road antique dealers & restorers.
Moving back home in 1993, he started up his own business dealing in period English & French furniture with a particular emphasis on upholstery. A converted Victorian barn in a tiny hamlet just outside Winchester became his base and is where he began to copy some of his favourite sofas & chairs, making them using only traditional materials and skills.
Almost 20 years later & still with the same barn as his workshop, Sean now has almost sixty different models based on period designs & produced in the same old fashioned traditional way.
He is also happy to take on re upholstery & restoration of a favourite old sofa or chair, make loose covers, or discuss a 'one off' commission you may be considering.
The showroom is a period old shop in the beautiful historic town of Stockbridge, where many of his models can be seen, along with a wide range of upholstery fabrics & a few carefully selected antique pieces.
